The United States is a strong supporter of the International Labor Organization’s critical mission to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection, and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues. We look forward to working closely with Mr. Ryder to continue the important work of the ILO in standard-setting and technical assistance activities that promote worker rights, help strengthen democratic governments, and support inclusive economic growth. In this rapidly changing global economy, it is essential that the international community work together to protect worker rights.
