Legal Adviser Harold Hongju Koh to Attend the Signing of the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers



U.S. Department of State Legal Adviser Harold Hongju Koh, along with Deputy Assistant Secretary for Diplomatic Security Charlene Lamb, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Dan Baer and U.S. Department of Defense Deputy Assistant Secretary for Program Support Gary Motsek, will attend the signing ceremony of the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (the Code) in Geneva, Switzerland on November 9, 2010. In a letter dated October 8, 2010, the Government of Switzerland asked the Government of the United States to attend and offer support for the Code.

Legal Adviser Koh will offer the public support of the Government of the United States for the commitments that companies make by signing the Code and express the position of the U.S. Government on the Code.
